BAB 2 - Penentuan Harga Permintaan dan Penawaran

Pendahuluan Teori penawaran dan permintaan (bahasa Inggris: supply and demand) dalam ilmu ekonomi, adalah penggambarkan atas hubungan-hubungan di pasar, antara para calon pembeli dan penjual dari suatu barang. Model penawaran dan permintaan digunakan untuk menentukan harga dan kuantitas yang terjual di pasar. Model ini sangat penting untuk melakukan analisa ekonomi mikro terhadap perilaku para pembeli dan penjual, serta interaksi imereka di pasar. Ia juga digunakan sebagai titik tolak bagi berbagabi model dan teori ekonomi lainnya. Model ini memperkirakan bahwa dalam suatu pasar yang kompetitif, harga akan berfungsi sebagai penyeimbang antara kuantitas yang diminta oleh konsumen dan kuantitas yang ditawarkan oleh produsen, sehingga terciptalah keseimbangan ekonomi antara harga dan kuantitas. Bab 5 - Perilaku Produsen

Fungsi Produksi Dalam teori ekonomi, setiap proses produksi mempunyai landasan teknis yang disebut  fungsi produksi . Fungsi produksi adalah suatu fungsi atau persamaan yang menunjukkan hubungan fisik atau teknis antara jumlah faktor-faktor produksi yang dipergunakan dengan jumlah produk yang dihasilkan per satuan waktu, tanpa memperhatikan harga-harga, baik harga faktor-faktor produksi maupun harga produk. Secara matematis fungsi produksi tersebut dapat dinyatakan: Y = f (X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , ……….., X n ) ; dimana : Y                         : Tingkat produksi (output) yang dihasilkan X 1 , X 2 , X 3 , ……, X n       : Berbagai faktor produksi (input) yang digunakan. Fungsi ini masih bersifat umum, karena hanya mampu menjelaskan bahwa produk yang dihasilkan tergantung dari faktor-faktor produksi yang dipergunakan, tetapi belum bisa memberikan penjelasan kuantitatif mengenai hubungan antara produk dan faktor-faktor produksi tersebut.
